Welcome!

Mission statement
We exist to build up the body of Christ by providing support, strategies and supplies to churches and mission endeavors around the world. Our current focus is in Tecate, Mexico.

Update
Betty and I made a trip to Tecate in November  to bring school supplies to the children in the area. It was a good trip. Peter and Anna are still helping kids get off the street and are letting them stay in their house. It’s a very good ministry.

Latest News
Tecate is still pretty peaceful. Most of you have heard about the violence around the drug trade in border towns and other places in Mexico. Our friends in Tecate will let us know about anything that may make it even questionable for us to go. There’s a convenience store in Tecate, CA (the only real semblance of a town) and if we would get a call when we stop there before crossing the border, we would turn around and head back.

Next trip._An1273
Our next trip is in March. We will leave on the 24th and return on April 1st. As of today (2/11/12) we need two 15 passenger vans. The one we used the last two years is in Mexico. The man sold us the van for $500 and we were able to take it down and leave it with a church. We could really use prayer for this. A place in Loveland will rent us the vans, but it would cost $1,800. Still, if that’s what the Lord wants, He will raise the money. The decision has to be made this week so we can reserve the vans. Austin Bluffs Community Church is hosting our dinner and “slave” sale on March 10th. Pray for our vans and overall finances. Ultimately, the Lord provides in His timing.

Project for 2012
We have three families that will be getting a house. We’re going to build the 16X24 house for each family.

How you can help
Our trips cost an average of $600 per person and that includes the cost of materials for the projects. If someone doesn’t have health insurance to cover them while on the trip, another $25 will be needed to purchase the insurance. We can also use donations for supplies and materials. A house is about $3,000 if you would like to help a family in need. A tax deductible contribution can be made if you make a check payable to Northview Evangelical Free Church and specify it’s for the Tecate project. You may contact us for specific questions.

Donation Buckets

We bring donations down in 5 gallon buckets. These are the ones we brought down in 2005.
