It was a sad meeting on March 14, 2020 when we had to announce that the trip had to be cancelled. The Mexican government made it illegal for groups larger than three to meet, which made it impossible to 10-13 people to get together and build a house. The state of New Mexico had severe travel restrictions, also. For the first time since 1999, we didn't have a spring mission trip.
Yes, it was sad, but it was also ordained by God long before Betty and I were born. We rejoice in what God has done and will continue to rejoice when He works in ways that seem contrary to us.
We had already sent the money for the supplies in January and February and Anna had already purchased the materials. Peter and a few others were able to build the houses for the families.
